The goal of the TOEFL Preparation Course at SHELBY Academy is to prepare students to take the TOEFL test by helping students build the skills necessary to successfully answer the questions and complete the tasks in the test, improve their general and academic English proficiency, and learn effective test‐taking strategies. In addition, students will benefit from this college-readiness course which includes authentic college lecture listening and note-taking. The TOEFL is recognized by colleges, universities, and agencies in more than 130 countries around the world.

IELTS Preparation is offered at SHELBY Academy in Chennai through both offline and online modes. Our small classes of 8 students or fewer are sized to allow each student more time to practice speaking as well as receive individual attention. Key focus is placed on improving the skills tested on the academic module of the exam with an emphasis on becoming effective and confident in English even after the exam is over. The course includes 4 full length practice exams, test taking strategies and practical tips. Students should already be at the B2 level.

The goal of the TOEFL Preparation Course at SHELBY Academy is to prepare students to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam and receive the appropriate band by helping students improve their English proficiency as well as equipping students with effective test‐taking strategies.
