Trees are precious gift to our life from the nature. They are the green gold on the earth and very important for everyone’s life. We get fresh air and oxygen from them. So we live healthily. We get shade under the trees during the summer. We enjoy the sight of beautiful trees and plants, so colorful with beautiful flowers, useful vegetables and fruits. The roots of trees go deep inside the Earth and hold the terrain from getting eroded due to water or wind.
The trees also cool the wind and the atmosphere. They prevent soil from erosion, helpful in rainwater conservation, and prevent sediment deposit during storms. They prevent us from the respiratory disorders and breathing problems by refreshing air. Trees acts as natural dustbins to the harmful gases in the environment. Trees give us rubber, gum and medicinal substances. Trees are home for many birds.
Today, environmental pollution has become an alarming problem. Trees help a lot in environmental improvement. They cause rainfall. They protect our social and water resources under the ground. They prevent floods and droughts. Above all, they purify the atmosphere by absorbing carbon dioxide and giving out oxygen.
We need to grow more trees to make our surroundings better and to compensate for the deforestation and reducing effects of air pollution. To better our individual and social health let us grow more trees. Planting trees is not very expensive. So it is our first and best duty to grow as many trees as we can and take proper care of them.
